28-29: The inaugural Gig Harbor Paddlers Cup and Expo will feature competitive paddle racing for kayaks, canoes, and SUP (stand-up paddle boards). Races in the harbor will range from novice to expert, while a complete expo of watercraft sports will be on shore. The event will take place at Skansie Brothers Park in downtown Gig Harbor.
28-29: Alder Creek Spring Paddle Festival will have two days of free clinics, boat demos, and paddle sports fun! Join our manufacturer's representatives and coaches for two days of test paddling, skills development and clinics, all for FREE. ($3 Parking fee)

5: WWTA will host its annual work party in the San Juan Islands. If you are interested in joining in, please send an email to Blind Island Work Party. This year volunteers will continue the effort to eradicate invasive species. Please be sure to give your name(s), as well as the number in your group. Thank you!
5: WAKE Kayak Club Annual Demo & Swap Meet - The Whatcom Association of Kayak Enthusiasts (WAKE) is hosting a Demo-Day and Gear Swap at Bloedel Donovan Park. Local and regional shops, manufacturers and boat company reps will be there to show you their wares. If you would like to sell your gear, the drop off time is from 8 to 10 am. This event is open to the public!
12: Mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual NorthWest PaddlingFestival. In 2012 this event will be at Lake Sammamish State Park in Issaquah, Washington!

2-3: 1st Annual Anacortes PaddleFest will be held at Seafarer's Park in Anacortes, WA. Get the dates on your calendar! There will be classes, demos, games, movies, food and beer, as well as raffle prizes.
9-10: Attend the NorthWest Adventure Sports Festival in historic Port Gamble, Washington, and unleash your beast! No experience necessary.
9-10: Professorpaddle.com's 2012 Professor Paddle Ball at Wenatchee River, WA. More details to come! This coincides with the Wenatchee River Festival.
15-17: South Sound Traditional Inuit Kayak Symposium (SSITKS) is a family friendly weekend event featuring some of the best instructors and competitors in Greeenland-style kayaking. Save money by registering early and have your registration postmarked by 5/1/12. Registration closes 5/31/12.
23-24: Join LNT Master Trainer Reed Waite for WWTA's Trainer Course.
Participants will gain a comprehensive overview of Leave No Trace through direct, in-field experience during the two-day overnight course in an outdoor setting. Link here for more information!

14-15: Paddle Bainbridge is a spectacular, two-day, fully supported paddle around Bainbridge Island. Whether you're in a kayak, canoe, row boat, or other human-powered craft, you will enjoy the natural beauty, the challenge of the course, and making new paddling friends.

4-5: Paddle Kitsap - Paddle the Pearls of North Kitsap communities and help establish the North Kitsap water trail. This 2 day 35 mile gully supported paddle will be the highlight of your paddling year.

9: 4th Annual Round the Rock There will be a pre-race stand-up paddleboard (SUP) clinic from the pros pre-race-day. More details to come!

19-21:Lumpy Waters Symposium - Take your paddling to the next level!
18-20:3rd Annual Greenland Week Kayak Festival - Join the Kayak Academy for a week of traditional Greenland-style kayaking lessons, demonstrations, competitions and social activities. Spectators are welcome, and the demos are open to the public. A WA State Parks discover pass or $10/car day use fee will be required to enter the park.
