Trace the Trail
On Saturday, September 23rd, paddlers and rowers are invited to make a ten mile trip from Plymouth Park in Washington to Hat Rock State Park in Oregon. During the upriver journey, participants will gain 75 feet of elevation in the McNary Dam shipping lock and paddle past basalt canyon walls home to cliff swallows, raptors, and unique vegetation.
Sorry, registration is closed - the trip is full. The event is free but participants must supply their own seaworthy boat and appropriate gear. This trip will require intermediate skills, including bracing, self-rescue, and experience with winds, waves, and currents. A vehicle shuttle will be provided for participants.
Discuss this event in the Traveler's Forum. View the flyer (Adobe PDF) for a map of the route.
