Float Plans

Whether you are planning an afternoon excursion or several days on the water, make a practice of filing a float plan before you leave. A float plan can assist rescue in the case of an emergency on the water. Leave it with a reliable person who can be depended upon to notify the proper rescue organization, should you not return as scheduled.

Sample float plans:
U.S. Boat Float Plan
U.S. Coast Guard Float Plan
